Update- I ended up taking my cat (who was sick and had a fever) to the Veterinary Specialty Center in Lynnwood. They assessed my cat and housed him in a kennel while I got to wait INSIDE their facility. With Diamond, I would have had to wait 5-6 hours out in my car, in order to have had my cat be seen for urgent care!
Note- They didnt specify, that they could assess him inside one I got there, but I would had to wait outside in my car.
They just said, I would have to wait outside in my car as long as 5 - 6 hours before being seen. I stand by my review.
Love Diamond.. They are so very compassionate. And thankful
Brought my new kitten here for a general checkup. The staff was very kind and they write the pets names on a blackboard as a welcome for each days appointments. So far we've had a great experience with this vet.
If ever your furry little pal is having any sort of emergency, bring them here. Everyone at Diamond is warm, wonderful, and just as concerned about getting your pets healthy as you are. I've had to come to Diamond twice, and both times were great experiences. One of the times was sadly to have an older cat put down, and everyone we talked to at Diamond was so amazing and just wanted to make the whole ordeal easier on us.
They treat your pets with such high quality care that I even want to start using them as my regular Vet, not just for emergencies.
Very caring staff. Our Rosie girl needed nighttime emergency care and was hospitalized for about 40 hours. Even through changes of staff, nurses and doctors, there was good communication, both within staff and with us, the parents. The medical care, love, and attention saved our little girl. We thank every staff, nurse and doctor from the bottom of our hearts!
Sammy had a rough time yesterday, but today she's back to being her usual happy-cat self. Thanks you for caring for her so well.
Also, we appreciate that you still follow covid-19 protocols. We're not out of the woods just yet and the precautions you take protect all of us.
We just wanted to let you know.
Thank you!
UPDATE: We brought Samantha in again this past July for her yearly checkup and rabies vaccination. Last year she suffered a reaction to the vaccine(s), but as mentioned above she came out of it and was back to her normal self. It should be noted that Sammy suffered being pre-diabetic meaning she had the potential of being a diabetic, but with care and proper feeding she remained very healthy.
This time she never pulled out of it, though. She became very ill after her shot so 2 days later we took her back to Diamond only to learn it would cost well over $1000 just to determine the problem. We couldn't afford it so we had them rehydrate her and gave her medication to increase her appetite and hoped for the best. After another 2 days later we took Sammy to Banfield Animal Hospital for a second opinion and they wanted over $700 to determine the issue. By now we had maxed out our credit cards and we're left with no choice other than to put Sammy to sleep and end her pain and tasked Banfield Animal Hospital with her euthanasia. Banfield suggested she might be saved if we relinquished Sammy to the Everett Animal Shelter where we adopted her. They could provide medical care for free if we gave her up. We did that hoping beyond hope they could save her, but they couldn't and she was finally put to sleep.
I don't know if the vaccines caused Samantha's death. I suspect that it played a role in it, but I can't prove it. I'm more disappointed that Diamond didn't follow-up with us about Sammy. They displayed little interest in her condition and never concerned themselves with her at all after we left.
This is my opinion only. I just wanted to get this off my chest. We still deeply miss our fur-family pet. She was very special to us. It's sad that money was the driver behind Samantha's death. I expected more from Diamond. Needless to say we won't be using Diamond Veterinary Hospital in the future.
We've taken several pets to Diamond over the years. We didn't know that Diamond Vet had been turned into a chain. But that explains our bad experience recently. The sign in the parking lot still says to call when you get there. So we called and the receptionist of kind of rude. Okay..but then when we went in she didn't say anything to us. She just left the desk and walked away.
The Vet was very condescending. She seemed irritated with me immediately. I didn't feel like my dog was the focus, but upselling was the focus. The vet was brusque and made it clear she was judging me as a pet owner. Honestly, this was an awful experience. I left feeling chastized by vet mother superior.
So gentle with our baby girl Belle. We have been taking our pets to them for over 20 years and wouldn't go anywhere else❣️
